Save what you want.
Buy only what you need.

Roopa is a wishlist that puts a pause between wanting something and buying it. Save it, give it a few days, then decide.

Roopa's Overview: a purchase to check in on and two items ready to decide.

Who Roopa is for

People who love beautiful things and want to put more thought into what they buy. Roopa is for you if:

  • You spot something new you want almost every week.
  • You have fashion and beauty wishlists in a dozen shops, and screenshots everywhere.
  • You've bought something on impulse and wished you hadn't.
  • You want to think twice before you spend.

Shops want a quick yes

Sales, countdowns and one-click checkout all push you to decide on the spot. Roopa does the opposite. There are no timers and no red badges. Things wait in your wishlist until you're ready to choose.

How Roopa works

  1. Save it

Anything, from any shop. Paste a link and Roopa fills in the details for you.

  2. Let it sit

Each item waits out your reflection time.

A wishlist where each item is still reflecting, with the time left shown.
  3. Decide

Plan to buy, keep thinking or let it go.

  4. Check in

Later, Roopa asks if it was worth it.

Also in Roopa

  • A budget per wishlist

See what you've planned and bought against what you meant to spend.

  • Compare side by side

Put a few options next to each other with pros and cons, and pick one.

  • One reminder, no nagging

When an item is ready to decide, Roopa sends one email or phone notification. That's it.

A note from Lúcia

Hi, I'm Lúcia, and I'm building Roopa. I love beautiful things. As a kid I went through every drawer in the house looking for a shiny new thing that no one else had found. My wife calls me her magpie.

A few years ago, with a bit more money and a lot more stress at work, shopping turned into retail therapy. I had wishlists everywhere: browser tabs, notes, screenshots, shop baskets. I wanted one place for all of it, one that helps me stop and think instead of pushing me to buy more.

That's Roopa. No recommendations, no "you might also like". Just your wishlist, and a pause before you buy.

P.S. The green in the magpie's tail is for Ireland, my home for the last 10 years. And it turns out real magpies don't actually like shiny things. So maybe there's hope for me too.
