Your data stays yours
What Roopa keeps
Your email address and name, so you can sign in and so Roopa can address you.
What you add: wishlists, items, links, prices, notes, photos, answers to Roopa's questions, comparisons, things you own and your settings.
If you turn on phone notifications, the details your browser gives Roopa to send them.
Who can see it
Only you. Your records are stored in Roopa's database (Lovable Cloud) and each one is tied to your account, so other people can't read them. Photos are kept in private storage.
Roopa doesn't sell your data or show you ads.
Reading product links
When you paste or share a product link, Roopa's server opens that page to read its title, picture, shop and price. Some shops block this, so Roopa may ask Bright Data, a web-reading service, to fetch the page instead. Only the link is sent, never your name or email.
The Save to Roopa browser button
When you click the button, it opens Roopa's Add item page with the address of the page you're on. It doesn't read the page itself, doesn't run in the background and sees nothing until you click it. It has no access to your Roopa account; you're signed in to Roopa as usual.
Emails and notifications
Roopa sends a sign-in email when you ask for one, and one reminder per item when its waiting time is up. Phone notifications are off unless you turn them on in Settings.
Messages you send
If you use the form on the Help page, your message (and your email, if you add it) reaches the Roopa team so we can reply.
Deleting your data
You can delete wishlists, items and photos at any time, and clear everything from Settings. To close your account completely, send a message from the Help page.
